SKATEBOARDING STUDS!!!

My brother and his family were in town last week from California. They couldn't go to school or work because of the fires, so they decided to evacuate to AZ. While they were here we went to a Skate Park in Scottsdale to watch my nephews, Marshall and Sam, tear it up on the cement. They are total studs!!!

PUMPKIN CARVING!!!

We went to Kira's house and carved pumpkins with our niece and nephew, Emery and Emmet. Emmet was hilarious! When we opened the pumpkin and he saw the mushy, gooey inside, he ran away, continuously screaming eew, eew, eew, eew! No means of persuasion could bring him anywhere near the pumpkins again. Emery was quite content sitting in her stroller watching the festivities. She was not about to get messy. We had tons of fun, lots of laughs, and delicious pumpkin seeds.......Happy Halloween!

Scrubs!

Don't I look Oh-so-cute in my new work attire.......it's casual day for me every day! SCRUBS baby!

I started working in a dental office last month. It has been a new adventure in my life! Chris is back in school now at ASU, preparing to take the D.A.T. next summer........so I wanted something a little more full time that allowed me to be home in the evenings. I still teach ballet once a week, and I am involved in doing choreography for the Nutcracker as well. My new job and ballet are..... how should I say it?......Keeping my ON MY TOES!!!! Pun definitely intended!

Chris was diagnosed with Cancer........

It has been a bit of a scary time for Chris and me. Last week Chris was diagnosed with Melanoma Cancer. We had noticed a strange growth on his ear.......so we sent him to the Doc and sure enough it turned out to be bad news. He had surgery last Tuesday to remove it, and the good news is they got it all! As you can see from the pictures, he has some major battle wounds. I got a call on Wednesday from Chris while he was on campus at school and he told me that his shadow looked like Princess Leya (because of the huge bandage on his ear!). He has been so amazing about the whole situation.....so positive and optimistic. I love Chris so much, and I am impressed by him each and every day. He is such a strength in my life! I feel so lucky!

I am also so grateful for family and friends who always offer their support! Thanks to Chris' mom who lengthened her trip to AZ and helped us out during this whole process. We sure love you!

Emery is a girl of few words, but her favorite all day were MINE and PARTY!

Here she is with her new gifts..............

FAMILY SUMMER VACATIONS!

California Love! We headed to Cali twice in the past two weeks for both the Bawden and Olson family vacations. We went to one of my favorite place on earth......which also happens to be the happiest, DISNEYLAND! Yes, I love disneyland. We also hit the beach and Sea World! It was fun to be with the whole family.

Goin' back to Cali! Then we headed back to Carlsbad the next weekend for a little fun in the sun with the Olson's. It was a blast. We surfed, boogie-boarded, and build sand castles. It was fun to see our neice and nephew, Emery and Emmet play on the beach. Check out Emery in her darling green swimsuit!

PIONEER LEGACY!

I had the opportunity to choreograph a full length ballet, Pioneer Legacy, in Utah this summer. What an experience!!! I was there for two weeks (missed Chris soooo much by-the-way) and worked night and day to finish the choreogrpahy by performance time. It was a huge success! Here are a couple shots from the performance........

Happy Twelve Months!

Chris and I reached our one year mark. We can't believe how fast it flew by! How did we celebrate you ask?.......we went to DISNEYLAND!!! We had so much fun! We defeated Zurg on the Buzz Light-Year ride, got speeding tickets on the Autopia track (hehe!), and flew off to Never Never Land on Peter Pan's Adventure. There weren't that many people at the park that day. The longest line we waited in was for McDonald's french fries!

The next day we headed to San Diego, shopped, and Chris enjoyed some surf time. It was a quick little trip, but fun!

First Timers

Well, considering that we are a little behind the times and not as "computer savvy" as some, we thought we might try to catch up by creating our own blog.

We are Jenny and Chris Olson. We were married March 18, 2006, so in just a few more weeks we will hit that huge mark of One year. Yes, we're excited! So we will see how this whole blog thing goes. Let us know what you think.
